NC Demos June Blog Hop – What’s New With You?

Welcome to the June NC Demos Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is to share a new stamp set, color or product from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  Yikes!  There are so many amazing new products in the catalog, so it was hard for me to choose what to focus on for this blog hop.  I have made several cards with products from the new catalog, but I decided to use this one for our blog.  It showcases our new In Colors, which includes Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick and Call me Clover.  The colors are just so vibrant!

For this card, I used the Varied Vases stamp set, Vases Builder Punch and the 2018-2020 In Colors.  And my sincere apologies, I had to borrow the pic of the actual punch, because some how I have misplaced mine crying  I know it’s in my craft room somewhere.  I took it with me when I spent some time in NJ recently and I know it came back with me, but exactly where it might be is a current mystery sad  Has this ever happened to you?   It just drives me crazy when it happens to me.

UPDATE 6/25 – I FOUND MY PUNCH!!!  I was correct in saying that I had taken it with me on a trip to NJ, BUT, it was 2 trips ago, not my recent trip.  It was still packed in the traveling bag that I used cheeky  I really have to get better at unpacking my supplies when I take them on the road, lol!

The vases were stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink and the flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink.  Using the new Stamparatus made this task so easy!  I didn’t have to worry about trying to stamp freehand and not having the vases be aligned properly.  Click on this link to see a quick video on how the Stamparatus works!

I then used the In Color markers to color the flowers, and Light Pool Party Blender to make it look like there was water in the vases.  I stamped one of the detailed vase images on Blueberry Bushel card stock using the same color ink, then punched out the vase and adhered it over the middle vase.  The detail is a little hard to see in my first photo at the top, but this one shows it a little more clearly.

I took the panel of Grapefruit Grove and ran it through the Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Then I wrapped a piece of Call Me Clover 1/8″ grossgrain ribbon around the embossed panel and added a little knot on the front of the panel with another small piece of ribbon.  I added 2 pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearl collection on the Lovely Lipstick flower just to give it a little more bling and then stamped the sentiment over the panel with the vases.

I hope you enjoyed my card!  Now go see what Jo Ann Hewins and the rest of our talented group  have to show you.  They always do amazing projects!  wink
