About

Hi there!  Thanks for checking out my blog.  I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I have been crafting in some form for 20+ years.  I think the person who got me started on the path was my grandmother.  I spent lots of time at her home and she loved to embroider.  And she embroidered everything!  There wasn’t a dishtowel, pillowcase, armchair cover, etc. that wasn’t covered with some design.  She taught me at a very early age how to take some simple tools (needle and thread) and turn it into something pretty.  I’ve done embroidering, cross stitch, cake decorating, t-shirt painting, paint-by-numbers, wreaths, floral arranging, card making, and assorted other paper crafts.  And the one I’ve stuck with for many, many years is the paper crafting and card making.  I find great joy in creating pretty packing for gifts and creating special cards for special people.

Little did I know that there were companies out there that actually catered to those who loved paper crafting.  Back in mid -1997, I was invited to a Stampin’ UP! workshop.  I was intrigued by what the demonstrator was showing (back then all our stamps were from different companies).  With just ink, stamps and paper she created lovely items.  And while she was doing her demonstration, I thought to myself, I could do that.  Of course, I purchased something and I hate to say it but when my order came in it got tossed into a corner and I forgot about it.  A few months later I finally opened my new toys and started creating with them, and I’ve never looked back.  I signed up to be a demonstrator in Nov. 1997 and through several moves (3 different states!), a couple of relationships (I’m happily married now!) and the normal ups and downs of being an adult,  I managed to stay active. And I now have a team of 12 terrific ladies!  Most of whom I would never have known if it weren’t for Stampin’ UP!  So, that’s my little back story.  I’m managing a team of people who all love the same thing I do, bringing happiness to people with the things we create.  I can’t think of a better “job” to have!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you’ll tag along as I continue to create beautiful things and hopefully inspire others to do the same!
