I have LOTS to tell you about the upcoming color changes for the 2018-2019 catalog! Every 2 years SU! brings in a section of new In Colors. They are colors that reflect the current trend and allows us to offer fresh options to our color lineup. But, every 3-5 years SU! will do a complete color revamp, letting some colors retire and brining in new replacements. And sometimes, those replacements are colors that have previously been in our color family, such as retired in-colors. This is one of the reasons why I never get rid of my retired ink pads. It helps that I’m somewhat of a craft supply hoarder anyway, lol!
So, lets get to some of the specifics. The In Colors that are retiring this year are from the 2016-2018 collection.
And here are The new
In Colors for 2018-2020, shown along side of the 2017-2019 colors. I LOVE the new colors and can’t wait to start making projects with them. The 2018-2020 colors are actually available to order RIGHT NOW, as a special customer pre-release offer. Click
HERE to order them.
As I mentioned above, in order to make room for new colors in the revamp, SU! has decided to retire the following colors. If you do not currently have these in your personal lineup and want to get them, don’t wait because once something is tagged as retiring, they sell out quickly! The chart below also includes the retiring In Colors that I mentioned above.
And now, lets unveil the brand new colors that are joining our color lineup! Being a wine lover, I’m thrilled to see Merry Merlot, lol! This will pair so well with the stamp set,
Half Full which of course is one of my favorites
And last but not least, I mentioned that SU! will occasionally bring back colors that had retired in previous years. One of these colors, Flirty Flamingo was part of the 2016-2018 In Colors, so it really didn’t “retire”, per se. But the others are definitely ‘blasts from the past’, and many of us demonstrators are thrilled to have them back!
So, there you have it. LOTS of color changes coming up in the new catalog. In addtion to the color change, SU! has also re-designed our ink pads. You no longer have to “push and lift” the front of the pad to get it to open. You simply lift, just like you would a compact case. And they’ve made a slight change to the ink formulation to reduce the bubbling that sometimes occured on the surface of the foam pads. But don’t worry, if you have the current re-inkers, they can be used in the new pads. And vice versa, the new re-inkers can be used on the old design pads.I’m very excited about the new colors coming in the 2018-2019 catalog and I hope you are too!
Happy Stamping!
