Happy May, everyone! Thanks for checking out our monthly blog hop. You probably just came from France’s Warner’s blog and I know she’s shared some great information on organization 🙂 The tip/project that I am sharing is one that I did shortly after we moved to our new home in NC, back in 2014. I had tons of punches that were stored in various spots, some in drawers and some in clear totes. And I honestly never knew what I had or where they were. And I can’t remember where I saw this idea initially, but I’m so glad I came across it because it has worked so well for me!
I guess I’ll call this my Punch Board for lack of a better name. And I apologize that I don’t have exact dimensions since it was done a while ago. But if you attempt this, you will use whatever measurements fit your specific spot. I measured the space behind my door and went to Home Depot and had a 1/2″ piece of plywood cut. Next, I took my fabric and stapled it to the back of the board. Then, my always handy hubby mounted the board to the wall using 4 big anchor screws. And that’s the only assistance I needed, the rest was done by my best friend and I. 
The next step was to add the rods, which are shown in the first picture but they are a little hard to see. The rods that I used on my project came from Ikea, but they no longer carry that particular style. All you need to remember is to find rods that are very sturdy and are a length that will fit your particular board width. The other important part here is to make sure you leave enough distance between the rods so that you can easily remove and replace your punches.
This is an old set of pictures and you’ll notice that there’s a mixture of current and retired punches (and some non-SU! 
). I had initially had everything separated based on style, all circles together, all ovals, etc. But overtime several punches have retired. I think what I will eventually do is to get small red circle stickers and place them on the retired punches. I do like having similar punches together because there are projects I make outside of my SU! world and I will use my retired punches for those.
I hope this has given you an idea of how to store your punches. There’s a lot of room for adjustments to my version of it, and I’d love to see what you come up with if you try it!!
