April NC Demos Blog Hop – Spring Special Occasions

Welcome to our April NC Demos Blog Hop! You may have just visited Tina Lesson’s blog, wasn’t her project amazing? As you can see from her project, and the title for this month, we were to create a project that celebrated a Spring special occasion. That leaves room for a lot of possibilities! And with it being close to the unveiling of our new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, I decided to share a little sneak peek of an upcoming bundle, as well as the 2022-2024 In Colors. The downside of this is that I can only share a picture of the new items but no links yet because the catalog doesn’t go live until May 4th. Once I am able, I’ll come back and update the blog with all the proper links!

I chose to use the Cup of Tea Bundle. And for the occasion, I chose Mother’s Day. In all honesty, I haven’t done a Mother’s Day card since losing my Mom four years ago. But it felt like the right time to get back to making them for others. I have 2 soon to be future daughter-in-laws and they are both great Moms and I want to recognize that.

Here’s the Cup of Tea Bundle

I wanted to use all of the new In Colors so I chose Starry Sky for the card base, and then I cut 1″ x 5″ strips of each of the other colors (Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, and Orchid Oasis) and staggered them to make them my background. Then the images were stamped using Starry Sky and Parakeet Party. I used Memento Black for the sentiment, which comes from a soon to be retired set, Welcoming WIndow. I also used the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots and Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon for embellishments. Aren’t the new colors beautiful? They are so fresh and vibrant, I can’t wait to do more with them.

And of course, you always need a coordinating envelope to go with the card!

This bundle is also available as part of a suite (Tea Boutique Suite – 158670), which also includes a package of coordinating 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and Tea Boutique Cards and Envelopes.
