In the last couple of months we have all been feeling the stress of having to shelter in place, work from home, and home school our children among many other things. The entire world is experiencing something that I don’t think any of us could have imagined. It can be very overwhelming! And while I would never make light of such a serious situation, I do think that it’s ok to try to find something that helps you smile, or even laugh a little bit. And that brings to me this card I made for a friend 🙂
I recently posted about an initiative SU! has taken to raise money for a couple of organizations that are on the forefront of the pandemic. You can read that post here. I was finally able to sit down and play with the sentiments and came up with this card. It came together pretty quickly, I used the sentiment from Thanks for the Laughs and one of the images from Young at Heart, both of which will NOT carry over to the new annual catalog. In fact, there are a few things I used on this card that will be retiring soon, the Starburst Punch, Mint Macaron Ribbon and the Garden Lane Designer Series paper. So if there’s anything that catches your eye, hurry over to the Last Chance page and grab them (they are only available while supplies last!)
Inside card
I find that crafting in general and making cards specifically helps to focus on something positive. Let’s face it, we all need a distraction once in a while when things get just a little too heavy. I hope that my card brought a smile to your face and I also hope you are all able to find a little respite from all that’s going on.
Thanks for stopping by,
Toni
