Welcome to our monthly NC Demo Blog Hop! Thanks for checking out all the amazing projects this month. You may have just come here from Amy Kinler’s blog, wasn’t her project amazing?
Our theme this month was to post a project using a set that will be retiring from the 2019 -2020 Annual Catalog. I do have several favorites that will be retiring so choosing one set was a challenge. So I fudged the rules a little bit because I chose 2 stamp sets, Happy Tails, and Nine Lives. I really love my fur babies and I’m a little bit upset that these sets are retiring, BUT…we have a wonderful new set coming in the new catalog that will fill the void 🙂 BTW, the punches that coordinate with both of these sets are NOT retiring 🙂
(Happy Tails and Nine Lives Instructions)
I’m also trying to use up some of the beautiful DSP that will be retiring as well and I decided to use DSP from See A Silhouette because I wanted bright bold colors. This DSP is currently reduced to $8.05 so don’t wait to grab a package or two!! Crushed Curry and Pacific Point were to 2 colors I chose to help accent the DSP. I used one of the dies from Stitched Labels (which are retiring as well) for the sentiment on the Happy Tails card and then just stamped the sentiment right on to the DSP for the Nine Lives card. I tend to forget about stamping on our DSP! And of course, that gorgeous Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam binding pulls it all together. I’m really going to miss this ribbon as well, it’s just soooo vibrant!
Here a two more cards I made with the 2 sets.
Here’s a better look at the See A Silhoutte DSP, just look at those gorgeous colors!
I hope you have enjoyed my Bon Voyage to 2 favorite stamp sets! Be sure to check out the Last Chance Products page to grab these 2 stamp sets before they are gone for good!

I too am going to miss those sets really cute cards
Thanks, Tina 🙂
Awww, featuring our furry friends was such a great idea! I really like your choice of colors as well!
Saying good bye to these furry friend sets, is tough! I like the new ones as well thought. I really like your color combos. Very nice project!
Thanks, Nedine. I do like the new set so I will be adding that to my collection as well. I just love any stamps with animals 🙂
It seems strange to me to retire the stamp sets and not the punches. To tell the truth, I’m still keeping them. Great cards!
Yes, Jo Anne, I agree! I can only think that they might be bringing out some new DSP in the future that we can use them for 🙂
Love these Toni!

Thank you, Beth!
Great cards for pet lovers.
Thanks, Sue 😊
Such a versatile DSP. I like the way you seem to use the DSP for inspiration.
Thanks, Martinette, that’s exactly what I did!
Toni – I love how you “fudged” the rules and included two stamp sets. Your cards are beautiful and really tugged at my heartstrings. The DSP colors add the perfect background focal point. I will miss these sets as well but was so happy to see an animal focused suite in the new catalog!
Thanks, Laurie. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new stamps in the catalog 🙂
Love this paper – it’s so happy! And what makes us happier?? CATS! (and dogs for some) Love how you used the bright paper with the fur babies. I will miss the animal sets and this DSP, too.
Thanks, Ariel! And yes, that paper is just amazing! Glad I still have some to use for my personal stash 😊
Oh, how I love these two sets! I am a sucker for any dog or cat. These are so precious. I love these papers you used with it. Very happy and bright card. I like you can not wait to get my hands on the new one.
Thanks, Amy! I am the same way, lol! Trying to work out my order plan for tomorrow and that pet suite is definitely on my list 😊
You had me there for a second, my heart sunk when I saw the punches…/whew. Great cards, thanks for sharing!
