Our Last Chance Product list came out last week and there are so many amazing items that are leaving us. Every year I am sad to see some of my favorites go, but I know that the next Annual Catalog will have even better items being added! And speaking of the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, if you’ve ordered from me in the past 12 months, I already have a catalog set aside for you. If you are new to my blog, or even new to Stampin’ UP!, and would like your own copy, please leave a comment on this blog post 🙂
I know everyone will have their own favorites, but I wanted to share with you what my top 10 retiring items are. I have listed them because they are great products and can still be used after they retire, and many of them are currently on SALE! But, a strong word of caution, if you are interested in ANYTHING on the retired list, grab them now. The closer we get to the end of the current Annual Catalog (May 2nd), the probability of them selling out is very high. And they won’t be re-stocked, once they are gone, they are gone for good.
So here are my top 10!
Word Wishes covers most of our typical holidays so it’s a perfect set to have on hand. And while the coordinating stamp set, A Wish for Everything, has sold out, you can still pair these dies with other word stamps.
Sadly, our only set of alphabet dies is retiring and there’s no replacement in the new catalog 🙁 So this is definitely staying in my stash once it retires. And, to share a tip from another demonstrator (Janet Wakeman), I’m purchasing a 2nd set to have on hand just in case one of those little letters wanders away from the pack! The dies are on sale right now so it helped me to make my decision to grab another set!
The coordinating stamps for the Stitched So Sweetly die set retired last year, but the dies were so versatile they carried over. But this will be the last chance to grab them. They are one of my favorite die sets, they are just so perfect with so many of our sentiment stamps.
The coordinating stamp set, Tasteful Touches, for these dies is also retiring at the end of the current catalog (grab it if you haven’t already, it’s still available as of this posting!) But these extremely versatile dies can be used with lots of our existing stamp sets.
This one brings a tear to my eye. When they retired the Subtles Embossing Folder last year, (my all time favorite!) the Tasteful Textiles moved into my top spot for embossing folders. It gives just the right amount of texture to any project. This one will also stay in my craft stash 🙂
You might be thinking, why is a current set of In Color products on the retiring list? Well, even though these lovely colors will be with us for another year, SU! has created a completely new set of patterns for the next Annual Catalog using 2021-2023 In Colors. And while I’m sure they will be beautiful, this set of papers is currently on sale so it makes it a smart financial choice if you want a set of these In Colors in your crafting rotation. The same thing goes for the In Color Jewels below. AND, both are currently on sale!!
I think this is probably one of the most underutilized products that we have. This is the description that SU! uses “Add a subtle sparkle to your project with white and silver craft glitter flecks in this glossy lacquer. ” I equate it to Wink of Stella but in a thicker form. You can put a small amount of this on one of our Silicone Craft Sheets and use a small brush to add shimmer to your stamped images. You do need to let this dry completely on your projects.
Another favorite of mine and I will be stocking up on these before they are all gone! The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, and Shaded Spruce and they coordinate so well with so many other colors. They are also on sale while supplies last!
While these are advertised as card boxes, and they are wonderful for packaging up a few stamped cards with envelopes for gift-giving, these boxes can be used for so much more. I store embellishments, sheets of dimensionals, and small pieces of scrap cardstock in mine just to mention a few ideas for them. They can also be used for many other gift-giving ideas, just search on Pinterest or Google for ‘acetate card box crafts’ and see all the amazing projects. And one more tip for these boxes, you can use our Embossing Folders on them to make beautiful designs!
So, there you have it, my top 10 retiring items, and let me tell you it was tough narrowing it down to 10, lol! I’d love to hear what your top 10 are 🙂
