NC Demos March Blog Hop – Friendship

Welcome to our March Blog Hop! Thanks for checking us out. You may have just come from Tina Lesson’s blog where she shared a great project. Our theme this month is Friendship and we were to keep it simple and use any of our current In Colors. We were also to use sponging for a technique and include ribbon or twine. And I’m hoping I hit all the criteria!

The stamp set I decided to use is a set that can be found in Jan – Jun Mini Catalog. The Hello Beautiful stamps give you a great variety of shapes and what I call “filler” stamps. They are great for making your own background. And the colors I decided to use are 2021 – 2023 In Colors – Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya. I really think all of these colors compliment each other very well.

2021 – 2023 In Colors

For the ribbon requirement, I chose 3 of the In Colors, Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, and Evening Evergreen.

For the sponging part, I added some Pale Papaya to the layer before I stamped the various shapes and fillers using all but Soft Succulent. I chose to incorporate that color for my sentiment base and one of my card layers.

And for the Fresh Freesia circle, I used the largest circle die from the bundle which leaves an embossed design on the outer edge, then I used the next smaller circle to cut out the center.

I hope you enjoyed my card. Please continue on with Blog Hop and see what everyone else created for this month’s challenge! Jo Anne Hewins is up next, I always love her projects 🙂

  1. Toni, I used the Hello Beautiful stamp set recently at a FL Demo event for the first time. All day long we called them the blobs. I love the stamps you chose out of the stamp set. There so many possibilities. Thanks for sharing your pretty card.

  2. Great card. Somehow I completely overlooked the Hello Beautiful stamps set. How did I do that! I love the way you used the ribbons on the card. I’ll have to copy that! Thanks Toni.
