SU! 2018-2020 In Colors – Saying Goodbye!

Hello and welcome to our March NC Demo Blog Hop!  I’m so glad you decided to join us.  I’ll start off by saying we are all dealing with an unprecedented situation with the current health concerns that are affecting not only us but our entire world.  It’s very easy to become overwhelmed with all the news we are seeing 24/7.  I have found that I need to limit my exposure (no pun intended) to the constant flow of information, so I’m definitely spending more time doing something that helps me relax and that is stamping!  I hope you are finding a way to get a break as well.  Remember, we need to take care of our mental health as well as our physical health!  So, let’s focus on some stamping 🙂

Our topic this month is the retirement of 2018-2020 In Colors.  You may have just hopped over from Libby Foreman’s blog, and I know she shared a fantastic project.  We were asked to create a project using just one of the colors, using paper, ink, and embellishments.  It was tough to decide on just one color!  But I decided on Blueberry Bushel, which is probably my favorite out of the group.

I also decided to use a stamp set that I haven’t touched in quite a while.  I actually used it for a card class last year and I don’t think I’ve touched it since, and that’s terrible because it’s such a great stamp set!   And it lends its self well for doing a monochromatic card (although I did sneak in a little bit of Granny Apple Green  😉 ).  This card is super simple to make!  So I decided to make 3 versions of it, each one using a different vase.

Here are the 3 cards

And if you’ve followed my blog posts you know that my embellishment of choice, Wink of Stella, was used to color in the flowers.  And because the classic ink is water-based, the Wink of Stella ‘pushes’ the color making it look a little bit like water coloring, and I love that.  I just wish Wink of Stella photographed better, it’s really hard to see how pretty it is.  I also added the smaller sized rhinestones, because I think a card always looks better with bling!  You can click on the image below for the instructions for making this card 🙂

I’m really going to be sad to say goodbye to 2018-2020 In Colors, but I’m very excited to see what our new colors will be in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!  If you would like your very own copy, comment on this blog post and I’ll be sure to have one sent to you.

Just a quick reminder that there are only a couple of days left of our Sale-a-Bration promotion!  You can still earn free products with your qualifying order.  And you can still sign up to be a demonstrator and enjoy the extra benefits that are offered during SAB which are a mini paper cutter, a 6×6 assorted paper pack AND any free stamp set from the Annual Catalog or the Current Mini Catalog.  BUT you must act quickly, the last day is Tuesday, March 31st 🙂

I hope you enjoyed my cards.  They really are super easy to make so you can certainly stamp a stack of them to have on hand for various occasions.  Now, continue on to our next Blog Hopper, Frances Wagner.  I know she has shared another fantastic project!

  1. I have to admit I have this one but have not yet used it, I got it as a giveaway. I may have to rethink this. These are adorable.

  2. Oh my! Your cards are beautiful! I love each of them 🙂 The bling and the ribbon add the perfect finishing touches. And, I really like the way you decorated the envelope flaps – very classy. Thanks so much for sharing!

  3. Love each of your cards. I would not have thought to use that stamp set that way. Now you have me wanting to get it out again!
