Welcome!

Hi!  Thanks for checking out my new blog, tonimariscreations.com.  My goal is to post my handmade creations regularly, as well as share some of the things that I’ve learned while doing paper crafts for the last 20+ years!  I still learn something new almost every day as there are many talented people out there who continue to freely share their tips and techniques.  I’ll occasionally also share pics and posts about my family, pets, favorite recipes, and ‘life in general’ type things.   Just to mix it up a bit!

A few things about me.  I’m married to a wonderful man who supports me fully in all my endeavors.  And he manages to make me laugh every single day.  I think a day without humor is a boring day!   I have 2 adult sons and 2 grandkids   We also share our home with 2 – 10yr old pugs, who are actually brothers from the same litter, and one adopted Russian Blue cat who is technically my cat, but he loves my husband more!  So be forewarned, there will be pics of all of the above from time to time 😉

So how did I get here?  Well, after losing my full-time job in 2013, we put our house on the market and moved from PA to NC, where we have lived since October of 2014.  I took a part-time job in 2015, retired from that in 2017 and since then I have been working on taking my love of crafting from a hobby status to something that would help me earn a little extra cash.  I want to still enjoy creating without the pressure of calling it a “job”.  I’ll always create gifts for friends and family, but I am now also creating things to sell.  I’ve been fortunate enough to find a lovely coffee shop where I rent space as a vendor.  I sell a variety of things from wine bottle lights and other wine-related items, handcrafted greeting cards, and other paper-crafted items.  I also offer monthly paper crafting classes in my home, where we make a range of items each month.

I’ve been a demonstrator with Stampin’ UP! since 1997, and most of my creations will be using their products.  I LOVE this company and hope to be with them for many more years. The wine-related items I make came about because my husband and I love wine so we have a never-ending supply of bottles and corks to use for this part of my crafting.  It’s always fun when you can upcycle!

Overall, I just enjoy creating things.  I’ve tried to learn knitting and crocheting too, but don’t feel comfortable enough with either of those just yet, lol!  I hope you’ll enjoy the items I have to share and hopefully feel compelled to own something that I made.   I will be forever grateful and humbled if you do!

Thanks again for visiting!
