I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe we are at the end of July already! That means that Christmas is only 4 months away…yikes! But don’t stress too much, because this month’s theme is going to keep you rooted in summer. This month’s theme was to create beachy projects or that featured light and cool colors. If you hopped over from Tina Lesson’s blog, I know she had a fun project to share with you.
This is my take on this month’s theme. I don’t have very many current “beachy” stamp sets. But I think the Under the Moon set fits the bill. I did try using different colors with it but ended up liking this version the best. It’s a quick card to put together and can be used for lots of different occasions.

This card starts with a Basic White Thick card base, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. A layer of Misty Moonlight is cut to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/4″. And Basic White is cut to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. This is the layer you will stamp the images on. I started with the water stamp, using Misty Moonlight. Next, I inked up the sun stamp with Daffodil Delight, then using a sponge dauber, I added some Calypso Coral. Then the sailboat and the dolphins were stamped with Night of Navy. I highlighted the sailboat and dolphins with Wink of Stella. Then the layer was embossed with the Painted Textures embossing folder. Before layering this to the card front, I wrapped Linen Thread around the layer twice then tied a bow. The layer was added with dimensional. I used the Keeping Tabs stamps set to stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in Misty Moonlight, stamping on a 2 1/8″ x 1/2″ piece of scrap Basic White, cutting one end on the diagonall. Then I layered that onto a 2 3/8″ x 5/8″ piece of Misty Moonlight Scrap, cutting the same diagonal.
I repeated the water and dolphins on the inside of the card. And the water and sailboat on the envelope.

Please continue with the rest of the blog hop. Frances Wagner is up next and I know she has a great beachy project for us.

I love your card our minds were really in the same place.
Love your card. The EF really brings it to life and somehow makes it look so realistic.
