NC Demos Monthly Blog Hop – Bundle Up!

Hello and welcome to our monthly blog hop! If you started here with me, thanks for visiting. If you arrived here from Tracie Evans Langley’s blog, I know she had a great project to share.

Our theme this month was to use a current die bundle. A bundle is where a stamp set and dies (or a punch) are combined. We are at the end of a special that SU! is offering which was an additional 10% off any of our in-stock die bundles. There is normally a 10% discount when you purchase a bundle, versus buying the stamps and dies separately. So with this special, you are getting a 20% discount! And there’s STILL a few hours left to take advantage of it. The sale ends tonight at midnight MT, which is 2 am ET, for you night owls, lol!

I used a current Online Exclusive die bundle, called Simple Zinnia, for my project this month. I love Zinnia’s so I grabbed this set as soon as it was released. If you also love them, don’t wait too long to grab them. Online Exclusives are only available while supplies last! I also decided to use some of our new 2024-2026 In Color DSP when creating my card. This paper is currently unavailable at the time of this posting but is expected to be back in stock the week of 7/1.

The dies to this set make it so easy to create beautiful flowers, and using Designer Series Papers does a lot of the work for you. I used the Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop DSP for the petals and Shy Shamrock for the leaves and stems. Lemon Lolly and Peach Pie cardstock were used for the flower centers. There is also a fun embossing folder that coordinates with this bundle (3D Zinnia) and I used that for my card front. The sentiment was stamped with Memento ink on Basic White cardstock and was fussy cut. Then I layered that on a scrap of Shy Shamrock to create a background layer. The card was finished with a piece of white twine (Bakers Twine Essentials pack) that I colored with Shy Shamrock blends. I love that we can use any of our colors on white ribbon or twine, it makes it so easy to coordinate!

While I was playing around with this project, I created a few flowers using the 2024-2026 In Color paper scraps that I had lying around. I don’t normally put anything with dimension inside of my cards, but this is flat enough to not cause additional thickness to the overall card. And I think it’s a nice little surprise instead of a stamped image.

I hope you enjoyed my project. If you’d like a copy of the PDF for this project, please click HERE. And if you are viewing this before midnight MT (or 2am on 7/1 ET), use this LINK to shop the die bundle sale before it’s over!

Please continue the hop to see what the rest of the crew has for us this month. Tina Lesson is up next and I know she has an amazing project!
