March NC Demos Blog Hop - A Little Flirty Flamingo!

Hello and welcome to another NC Demo Blog Hop! The subject of this month’s blog is saying goodbye to our 2016-2018 In Colors. Goodbyes can be somewhat sad, especially when we’ve had these colors in our lineup for the last two years. And I have to say, this was a group that I really liked. BUT, when a set reaches retirement, it also ushers in a NEW set of In Color pads, paper, markers and embellishments! We won’t know what they are until we get our hands on the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog (which will be SOON!), but I’m pretty sure we can rest easy knowing that SU! will be on trend with the new color selections.

The important thing I want to pass along to you is that if you don’t currently have any of these colors and there’s one or two ( or ALL) that catch your eye, GET THEM NOW! Our retiring In Colors ink pads, paper, markers, re-inkers and matching embellishments almost always sell out before the end of the retiring catalog. So you’ve been warned, lol!

I decided to use Flirty Flamingo as my color for this month’s project. And since we have a stamp set called Fabulous Flamingo, it was kind of a no brainer for me to grab that set. I had actually made a card like this a while ago and used it in a swap.

But I went back and added a couple of things this time that was not in the original. I wanted to make Mr. Flamingo pop a little mo

re so I covered his body with Wink of Stella. It’s a little hard to see the shimmer but it’s very pretty in person.

And because I wanted him to be flirty, I gave him a little sparkle in his eye
