October NC Demo Blog – Fancy Folds

Hello and welcome to our monthly NC Demos Blog Hop! You may have just landed here from Tonya Bower’s blog where she shared her wonderful project 🙂 And if you started here, I’ll share that our theme this month is fancy folds! Who doesn’t like getting a card that’s just a little extra special? I have to admit, I LOVE special folds. There are just so many designs to pick from, so once again I took way too long to settle on just one, lol! But this is one that I found to be fairly easy to do, which is a must for me when I’m creating.

If you are an NC Demo and recently attended our Winston-Salem Quarterly gathering, you may recognize this card. It’s the card I used for our shoebox swap on Friday evening.

The fun fold part of this is that the Christmas Tree swings to the right and the card front opens to the left to see the inside sentiment.

It’s a fairly easy card to make once you have cut your card stock and die-cut your sentiment label and trees. I chose to cut one tree in Gold Foil and another in Cherry Cobbler so cover the back side of the gold tree. It’s not a necessary step but I think it makes a much cleaner appearance.

Here’s a PDF with instructions on how to make this card. I do hope you’ll give it a try! Now please continue on with the rest of the blog hop participants. Tina Lesson’s page is up next and she’s sure to have a wonderful project to share.

  1. I love these hops. I totally forgot about using that flap and I’m going to be pulling out that fold again. I didn’t purchase the supplies you used so it’s fun to see them. Really beautiful card!
