Hello and welcome to our March NC Demos Blog Hop! You may have landed here from Tina Lesson’s blog, and I know she had a great project to share. If you did come here from her blog, then you know all about our theme for this month. But, if you started directly with me, you may not completely understand the R&R reference. Normally you would think about rest and relaxation. But our R&R refers to Retiring and Returning. This means we are to use something that is returning in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog and something that will be retiring from the 2023-2024 Catalog.
The end of April will wrap up our 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and our Jan – Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. While I’m always sad to see some of my favorite crafting essentials retire, it’s always fun to see the new products being added. I have my copy of the 2024-2025 Annual catalog, and my wish list is substantial, lol!
Here is my card for this month. We made this in our February card class. The theme was sympathy cards. I chose not to put a sentiment on the front of the card, so you could use this for any occasion based on the sentiment you use on the inside.
Now, lets get to what is retiring and what is returning. The beautiful gold foiled card bases and envelopes are retiring. I am so sad to see them go, they are so versatile. There is still inventory showing for this product, so if you love them as much as I do, hurry and grab them before they are gone for good! The product #162589. The Vellum cardstock is also retiring, and as of this posting, it is no longer available. While this isn’t a product I use often, I’m going to miss it as well.
Everything else used for this card is returning! I want to mention that we are using a new distributor for our Metallic Embossing powders, so the order number is not what is listed in the products below. The new order number in the 2024-2025 Annual catalog will be #165678.
Here is the inside of the card. I never thought to emboss the inside sentiment but I like how it turned out.
The gold embossed image stands out against the card base and the strip of Gold Foil paper.
Here’s a pic showing the equally beautiful envelopes.
I hope you enjoyed my R&R card. Please continue through the hop to see what the rest of our talented group has for you. Tracie Evans Langley is up next! Tracie is our fearless leader for the monthly blog hops and she does a fantastic job of keeping us motivated every month! Be sure to come back next month to see what we are sharing 🙂

Thanks so much, Tracie!
I too am going to miss those cards and envelopes. Beautiful card
Thanks, Tina. I made sure to grab a few more packages before they were gone!
Toni – Your card is absolutely gorgeous! I love the layers and the elegance. Thanks for the reminder about the cards and envelopes retiring. I definitely need to get a few before they’re gone for good!
Thanks so much, Laurie. And yes, definitely grab some before they are gone for good!
Love your card, Toni. Those card bases with the envelopes were so pretty. I can’t believe that vellum is retiring!!! I really do forget to use it though. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Jo Anne. And I know what you mean about the vellum. I too would forget to use it, and now I’m sad that it will be leaving 🙁
