Welcome to our September NC Demos Blog Hop! You may be starting here with me or coming over from blog, where I know she shared another amazing project. This month’s topic is one after my own heart! I love, love, love the Fall season. I love the burst of color from the changing leaves, and the farm stands with mums, pumpkins, gourds, and apples! Our project should include a pumpkin stamp, punch art, box, bag, etc… OR we could create a project that uses our fabulous Pumpkin Pie as the primary color! It’s all about the pumpkin!
I did both for my project. It includes a pumpkin stamp AND Pumpkin Pie ink and cardstock. How is that for being an overachiever, lol? This project is one that I made for an earlier tutorial blog challenge, and due to being very short on time this month, I am borrowing it for this blog hop as well.
This card was a lot of fun to make. It utilizes a product that I just don’t use enough, our Masking Paper. Masking paper lets you create an image with multiple layers without stamping over each separate image. While I don’t have a video showing the technique on this card, I have included the official SU! video below for you to see the many ways you can use our Masking Paper.
For this card, I stamped the pumpkins on the Basic White cardstock. Then I stamped the same image on a piece of masking paper. I cut the image, making sure to cut to the edge of the image. You don’t want to leave any white space around the image. I peeled the backing off of the masking paper and layered it over the stamped image. Next, I stamped the grass image and I stamped it so that it covered over the bottom edge of the pumpkins. The last step was to stamp the fence image, which I lined up so that the bottom of the fence posts were at the top of the grass image. When I peeled off the masking paper, the pumpkins appear to be sitting on top of the grass and in front of the fence. The image of the girl carrying the pumpkins was stamped on a separate piece of Basic White, colored with watercolor pencils and fussy cut. I’ve included a tutorial if you are interested in giving this a try 🙂
This is the video explaining our Masking Paper and the various ways you can use it. This reminded me of other options for using this great product!
Please continue through the hop to see what other pumpkin goodies the group came up with this month. Jo Anne Hewins is up next, and I know you’ll love her project.

Toni, cute card, another set I overlooked. I like they way you inked up your ribbon and pulled the greens together. Thanks for sharing.
Fabulous card, Toni! You definitely are an overachiever! Great use of the masking technique! Thank you for taking the time to share!
I love that card. I am rethinking that stamp set. Love the way you colored it
Great card Toni! Hope your dad continues to improve. I know it’s a stressful time!
