Well, I have to start this post off with a facepalm 🙁 This was supposed to be part of the November NC Demos Blog Hop…and I missed it. I have been so absorbed in other things that even though I had started this post several weeks ago with the intention of having it ready to go, I just missed the boat entirely. UGH…can I just chalk it up to 2020??
But, since I did have my project completed, I will share it with you. This is a great idea for giving a gift card for any occasion, I’m just focusing on it being for Christmas right now. And the layout is not my original idea. This was created by the crafty duo from Crafty Person, a team of demonstrators who provide a great blog/email service to other demonstrators. This was their November project and I just fell in love with it. I just changed up the stamps and DSP for my project.
I used very traditional colors for my card. And the Heart Warming Hugs Designer Series Paper worked perfectly. I matched Real Red and Pear Pizzazz cardstock and used Soft Suede for Mr. Deer. Adding some Gold Foil paper and Red Sheer Ribbon really sets off the whole design.
What I like most about this card is that the gift card holder is actually on the front of the card, instead of inside as we generally see. You just pull the tab at the top and the gift card is attached to the Real Red Cardstock panel!
And of course, you can add any sentiment you have on hand. I used the sentiment that comes with the Wishes and Wonders stamp set.
